Bad play, just pay off a value bet on river why bet? Greedy syndrome

I have to understand why I choose to check instead of betting at flop first.

First of all, I am playing against a good winning regular. Hence, to balance my play, I need to check some of my strong hands to show that whenever I check, it doesn't mean I have air.

This is a perfect flop for me to check oop.

By check calling at flop and turn, I can gain as much information as when I bet flop. This flop is a typical way ahead vs way behind flop. By check calling twice, I am showing a lot of strength, hence I mentioned I am prepared to fold river.

This play is good in the sense that if this lag villain wanted to bluff,I can get additional value where if I bet, he will just fold straight away.

My only mistake? I should have check/fold or check call small bet at river.....

I will agree with pokerlighthouse. Though I think I will ship it all in too with a AK full house too..

Lol... Not just a fullhouse, but the second nuts.....

I find it so hard to fold it even though my brain is telling me to do otherwise
